Fluorescent lamps for adorning illumination

Fluorescent lamps for decorative illumination Fluorescent lamps with a cold cathode are one of the most popular devices for bright decorative lighting. They come in different colors, including ultraviolet. Fluorescent lamps with a cold cathode are called that way because the cathode, which emits electrons inside the tube, does not necessarily have to be heated above the ambient temperature. In conventional fluorescent lamps the cathode is made of a thin filament that lights up at red heat temperature. They light up after a certain time period of heating the cathode. Cold cathode lamps do not require a delay for heating, so they are triggered immediately. Unlike hot cathode lamps, cold cathode lamps are made of metal where electrons are dislodged from ions with a higher charge. For the cathode to work it does not need to light up. A cold cathode has a much longer working life than conventional fluorescent lamps. Decorative fluorescent lamps with a cold cathode are placed in a plastic housing which provide a solid protection for the thin cylinder of brittle glass, from which the light is emitted. There are two supply conductors at its ends. One of the most common models of these lamps are lamps 300 mm long and of 4 mm thick. They are available in red, blue, white, green and yellow colors. The glow voltage ranges from 180 to 1000V. The average brightness of the lamp is 15 000 cd/m2. The radiation power of this product is 6W. Inverters powering fluorescent lamps have an input ...
